Photography mentoring

Alongside my photography, one of the most rewarding parts of my work has always been helping other people develop theirs.

Over the years I've worked with photographers at all stages of their journey, from older teenagers taking their first steps with a camera to adults looking to reconnect with their creativity or take their photography in a new direction. What I enjoy most is helping people discover their own way of seeing, building confidence and encouraging them to trust their instincts rather than trying to photograph like somebody else.

I've led street photography workshops for Rural Media, delivered workshops in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery, and currently run the mentoring programme for young female photographers at Latitude Festival. I've also worked with employees at Companies House, using photography as a way to encourage creativity, confidence and wellbeing, alongside delivering workshops and mentoring sessions at venues and festivals across the UK.

Every mentoring session is different. We might photograph together on location, review a portfolio, edit work, develop ideas for a personal project. My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where people feel encouraged to experiment, ask questions and develop their own voice.

If you're an older teenager, student, emerging photographer or simply someone looking for fresh inspiration, I'd love to hear from you.
