NEW! Hay-on-Wye Photo Festival

I'm delighted to share news of a new and exciting addition to the international photography festival calendar..

Hay Photo Festival will bring national and international photography to the beautiful historic 'town of books' in

Hay on Wye.

Established by Photographer Billie Charity, Artist Philippa James, and Arts Director Tracy Marshall- Grant, the first edition, with the theme of Photography and the Narrative, will take place in April 2025.

Thank you to everyone who has so warmly welcomed the news of our Hay Photo Festival last week. It’s been quite overwhelming to have so much positivity and enthusiasm in the last 7 days from people far and wide. We are massively touched by the excitement we have generated.

Over the coming months we will be starting to pull together the first steps of our programme and our engagement projects. We will share news of these with you when they’re in place.

In the meantime we will post here regularly with updates on our developments, our new website, our new partners, venues and artists - and a few sneaky peeks behind the scenes as we begin to make things happen.
